We are 7 generations away from Onyx in 2009 Onyx was used by several of the leading kennesl of the day and produced 10 litters. Hyndsight, Artdneish, Sparrowhall Dufault Findronach. With 1055 descendents these genes can be found today in Ardneish Stranwith Kilbourne Regalflight Gentihun and Killoeter to name but a few.

Onyx was a kind gentle dog with a lovely disposition. He was a good stud dog and adaped well to change. He carried a beautiful dark coat which needed little attention. He excelled in his front assembly with good well knucked feet Nice near ears and a beautiful dark eye. One of the problems with Onyx was his tendancy to become lame. He flew around with no regard for looking where he was going and several of the reserve cc's could have been CC's if he had moved better.

Bred and shown by us for the first 4 years he eventually went to live with Caz and Tony Jackson in their home and they hoped to ger his third CC. but it was not to be. He left a legacy of good nature and soundness which is still to be seen here in Kilbourne Hamlet. and Hector. Glenis Peach .
