OBITUARIES - PAST HOUNDS

Dear Glenis,

It is with the greatest sadness that I send this email to tell you that my wonderful boy died two weeks ago. It was such a terrible shock, he was such a big part of my life, I miss him so very much. Thankfully he didn't suffer, it was very quick, after a slow afternoon stroll around the field he laid on his bed and died, I assume he had a heart attach. Two weeks previously my older deerhound had died of dilated cardiomyopathy and I am sure he missed her, so much so that I was in the process of getting him a new companion. Loosing one older dog is bad enough, loosing two in two weeks is devastating, dealing with the emptiness is so hard.
He was such a star, especially in our parish, last council meeting ground to a halt when a councillor extended his condolences, it was the first time in memory that we had discussed the death of a dog. He was loved by so many.

Kindest regards Celia

It is with deep regret that I am writing to you about my dear Meggie Moo who was put to sleep this morning after suffering a stroke. She was twelve and a half years old to the day.( Kilbourne Georgia )

I would just like to thank you so much for letting me have this most wonderful dog.She never put a foot (paw) wrong. She was such a loving little girl, beautifully bred and adored by everyone who met her.

Not all your best dogs won a medal at a show and a championship ribbon. There are those who bring joy. Those that never needed a vet because they were carefully planned to standard and with a perfect temperament.

I hope that I kept my promise to you when you demanded that I look after this pup.

HIS OWNERS WRITE:- He was fine in the morning had his breakfast and went out for a walk. At 11 o clock he was panting heavy and in discomfort. We rushed him to the vets but was having a heart attack. We had to put him down as he was afraid and very uncomfortable.
