| DUTCH DEERHOUND CLUB CENTENARY SHOW JUDGE GLENIS PEACH
(l) RES BIS MaMaMia of Dirty Mind - Owner Breeder Keort Hesseling handled by Yolande (r) BIS Grand Cru Brut of Dirty Mind - owner/Breeder Melanie Steele Keort Hesseling I have had the great honour of judging the Dutch Centenary show 1st May 2008 - I cannot thank the club enough for the way they greeted and looked after me. Nothing was too much trouble and it all made me feel very special on what is probably my last judging appointment for many years to come. I am not saying never, but certainly I do not intend to judge again for a few years. I found many very beautiful hounds and a few concerns. There were quite a few dogs dogs who had too much angulation behind and although our standard says great length from hip to hock there has to be balance for the hound to move correctly with drive. Most of my winners had this balance and were presented in tip top condition both clean and looking as if they were really loved something I am very keen on. I was very pleased to see, when I got my catalogyue that the winner of the youth class was the brother of the bitch I made best puppy at ourt breed show 10 days before Heartvalley Mamma there was some satisfaction in this I have to say - I actually love judging dogs I do not know and writing a critique for all the dogs before you place them keeps you on your toes. The atmosphere at the show was superb. Friendly happy exhibitors and lovely dogs with good temperaments. I did not hear one growl or handle any dog that was nervous or suspicious. A big thank you to all concerned my day was very special and I took home many lovely memories. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Cramers for their hospitality and the Photographs you see below, please contact him if you want a copy - Glenis Peach
