This print has been stolen from the auctioneer and, the pilice are investigating. If you see the original anywhere for sale please let us know, or the police at Full Street Derby.( P.C. SPENCE 3014)

The story is, We left it with the auctioneer at the main premises for him to contact the printer, he took it home and from his home it disappeared. As you can imagin it is precious to us and we are devastated to have lost the original oil but the restorer took images of it during restoration and the final image has have been good enough to get the print done.

This painting as you can see was in need of some serious restoration. It has been restored by the chief restorer at a Southampton art gallery. It will come with a certificate of autencity and there will be 150 quality prints taken. Please feel free to contact me (subject print)

I can promise you this is an outstanding picture, one of the only 'old pictures we have seen where the dogs really resemble the deerhounds of today. Such a pity the colours are lost to us, so much for the dark dogs being 'desirable'
